Chris, Melanie, Cameron, and a bump!

I’m so excited to share these photos from a family/maternity session I did last month! Cameron may be one of the cutest little boys I’ve ever met! And Melanie and Chris are expecting a second baby in January! How beautiful does Melanie look? I can’t wait to meet the new addition!

Thank you guys! See you soon! :)

Patrick, Rose, and a baby bump | Maternity Session

I met with Rose and Patrick at Burke Lake Park for a maternity session. I was really looking forward to this because I had spoken with Rose a few times on the phone and she just sounded so incredibly sweet! Patrick and Rose just moved to Northern Virginia, so I was thrilled to do this for them! I’m also doing newborn photos…so stay tuned!
All they did was make each other laugh! I love it!
Rose and Patrick actually started dating when they were just kids! They were each other’s first kiss and they even followed each other to College! Go Tigers! ;)
Rose and Patrick thank you so much! I can’t wait to meet the baby!

Jen | Maternity Session

So, this is how I remember us…We’re sixteen and seventeen year old girls. Our biggest worry this night was our boyfriends, prom, and cheerleading. The following year we’d be faced with picking a college. Our summer would be full of us trying to fit in as much as possible. We were all going to separate.. luckily we would separate in clusters. Each of us had a group member that was going to the same college. I remember just feeling like we had all the time in the world to figure out our futures.
Here I sit at 24. Unfortunately, I’m an extreme thinker when it comes to my age. I either still feel like I’m seventeen (most of the time) or I feel like I’m old. Like, I’m really old, and time is running out for me so I better go travel now, actually YESTERDAY. And I better figure out my future, PRONTO. A lot of times what makes me feel these things is when I find out one of my friends is getting married or HAVING A BABY! When I found out Jen was pregnant, my first reaction was, “Are we old enough to have babies?” Ridiculous I know, but that’s how I really felt. Then I realize, “Yes, you’re obviously old enough to have babies.” We’ve all graduated, found jobs, and live in various locations. Bottom line, we’re adults. It just seems weird for me to think about.
So, I keep these pictures to remind me that the past is never too far. We’re older, but our friendship is still there and we’re still having fun… Just a different kind of fun. I also like knowing that at that point in time our futures weren’t very clear. They still aren’t, but we’re definitely better off then we were then. In my opinion.
So, here Jen goes. The second of our friends to take on this adventure. The first to have a girl. (We need a girl!) I couldn’t be more excited for Maddy…
Last one…
I love you, Jen! I’m so proud of you! I’m anxious for Maddy’s arrival!

Lindsay | Maternity Session

“Please tell us what to do…we’re not very good at this. Our wedding, our photos, it was pretty bad…” I deal with this all the time. A couple, a family, an individual who is extremely nervous about having their photos taken. Lindsay and Peter were just that. I always promise you that it wont be that bad. I promise to make you laugh as well, even if it’s at my own expense! However, Peter made me laugh our entire session, and of course he made Lindsay laugh constantly, which made my job extremely easy. Sometimes the nervousness of it all, is all you really need. I’m definitely a nervous laugher!

Lindsay and Peter are expecting their first baby! I love the energy of expecting parents. It really is a joy to be around. We met at Burke Lake Park and got pretty lucky with some warm weather. Spring is officially almost here!

Lindsay and Peter are leaving the babies sex as a surprise, so I’m extremely anxious to find out what she’s having. What do you think?
I love this…
Lindsay, you are absolutely stunning!
Lindsay and Peter were not only incredibly fun, but incredibly sweet…especially to each other.
Her baby bump is perfect…
Last one. And possibly my favorite!
Lindsay and Peter, you’re going to make such great parents! I’m so excited for you!
